Privacy Policy

Jobhunger, Inc. ("Jobhunger," "we," "us," or "our") operates jobhunger.ai and related candidate, manager, employer, and admin portals (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Service as an international student or early-career professional searching for work in the United States.

Jobhunger is a job-search workspace. We are not a university, DSO, employer, or immigration law firm. Visa and sponsorship information shown in the product is informational only.

This policy applies to visitors and account holders of our marketing site and authenticated product portals. It covers information you provide, information generated while you use the Service, and limited information we receive from service providers that help us operate the product.

We collect information needed to run matching, resume preparation, application support, coaching workflows, and billing.

• Account and identity: name, email, password or Google sign-in identifiers, and account role.
• Profile and education: university, graduation timing, target roles, skills, location preferences, and LinkedIn or portfolio links you choose to add.
• Work authorization context: visa or status details you enter (for example F-1, OPT, STEM OPT, Cap-Gap, or H-1B-track), and related timeline fields you provide.
• Application materials: resumes, resume variants, summaries, and answers you approve for employer forms.
• Product activity: roles reviewed, match scores viewed, saves, skips, application preparation steps, and support interactions.
• Device and usage: IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, and diagnostic logs.
• Payment metadata: plan selection and billing status. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor, not stored on Jobhunger servers.

We use personal information to operate and improve the Service for U.S. international-candidate job search workflows.

• Create and secure your account.
• Score and explain role fit using your profile, skills, and work-authorization context.
• Generate resume variants and application field suggestions grounded in information you provided.
• Support 1:1 guidance and LMS access when included in your plan.
• Process billing, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
• Respond to support requests and communicate product or account notices.
• Comply with applicable U.S. law and respond to lawful requests.

Work-authorization fields you enter help matching and planning. Public employer filing history and job-post language may be used as signals. These signals can be incomplete or outdated.

We do not sell your visa status. We do not guarantee sponsorship, OPT eligibility, STEM OPT training-plan approval, Cap-Gap coverage, or any immigration outcome. Confirm status and start dates with your DSO, employer, and licensed counsel as needed.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service or as required by law.

• Service providers under contract (hosting, authentication, email, analytics, payments, customer support tools).
• Employers or employer applicant systems only when you review and approve a specific application submission workflow.
• Authorized Jobhunger staff supporting your account, with least-privilege access.
• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse.

If you are a resident of a U.S. state with consumer privacy laws (including California and similar state frameworks), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of certain personal information, and to appeal a denied request where required.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use your resume content for third-party advertising. To exercise privacy rights, email privacy@jobhunger.ai with the subject line “Privacy request” and enough detail for us to verify your account.

We keep account and profile data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, billing, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. If you request deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data within a commercially reasonable time unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed to complete an active billing or security investigation.

Anonymized or aggregated analytics may be retained to improve matching quality.

We use HTTPS in transit, access controls, and provider-managed encryption at rest where available. No online service is perfectly secure. Report suspected account compromise to support@jobhunger.ai promptly. See our Security page for operational practices.

The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that U.S. law may differ from the law of your home country.

The Service is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor created an account, contact privacy@jobhunger.ai and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we publish revisions. Material changes may also be announced by email or in-product notice.
